CW5 Circumferential Welding Lathe

Use Jetline’s heavy duty welding lathes for all arc welding applications. The system consists of a powered headstock and a manually adjustable pneumatic tailstock that rolls on a machined base. A sidebeam track and non-powered carriage is provided that mounts behind the lathe for holding and positioning the weld head. Headstock rotation and welding process sequencing are controlled by the 9640 microprocessor controller.

• Multiple headstock RPM ranges to choose from
• Part holding lengths available from 48” (1220 mm) to 240” (6100 mm)
• 5,000 lb (2250 kg) standard weight carrying capacity, optional 10,000 lb (4535 kg) capacity
• The standard maximum part diameter is 60” (1525 mm)
• The tailstock clamping pressure is 1,500 lb (680 kg)
• 600 Amp welding ground
• 1” (25 mm) diameter thru hole in the headstock spindle
• 30” (760 mm) steel faceplate is mounted on the headstock and the tailstock

• 9500 and 9900 controls
• Adjustable cradle lift system to aid the operator in loading and unloading parts
• Remote podium for mounting controls
• Pneumatic torch retractors sequenced by the system controller
• Cross slides and mounting brackets for mounting the welding process 
• For GTAW and PAW applications, add arc length control, cold wire feeder, and magnetic arc control systems
• For GMAW and SAW applications, add mechanical oscillators and seam trackers
• Welding process integrated and weld tested
