- Standard designs have welding lengths ranging from 72” (1825 mm) to 240” (6100 mm)
- The seam welder is capable of welding either the external or the internal seams of cylindrical parts. When used as an external seam welder a maximum diameter of 55” (1400 mm) can be welded and the minimum external part diameter depends on the length of the seam welder. When used as an internal seam welder the machine will accommodate a 55” (1400 mm) minimum inside diameter up to any diameter that you can conveniently handle.
- For seam welding cylinders with GTAW, PAW, GMAW and SAW processes
- Carriages use hardened bearings or wheels and a precision DC motor with tach generator feedback
- Various welding speed ranges and speed holding accuracies are available
- Copper backing bars and reversible copper finger tips are standard
- Removable riser is supplied to allow the external welding of increased diameter parts
- Comes standard with 9627 microprocessor travel controller

- Hinged hydraulic or pneumatically retracting mandrels to ease loading and unloading
